SPRING HOUSE, PA (March 2020) – Hi-School Pharmacy Services, LLC., the independently-owned drug store chain headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, was recently awarded Exemplary Provider® accredited status by The Compliance Team, the nationally recognized independent healthcare accreditation organization based in suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Nineteen Hi-School Pharmacy locations were accredited for community pharmacy. Three locations were also accredited for long-term care pharmacy and one location was accredited for non-sterile compounding.
The Compliance Team’s Community Pharmacy accreditation supports the independent pharmacy provider in meeting the needs of their patients at the highest level. Recipients of Exemplary Provider accreditation must demonstrate outstanding healthcare delivery practices during a rigorous on-site facility evaluation. The Compliance Team’s accreditation programs streamline day-to-day operations, benchmark patients’ satisfaction, improve the patient/pharmacy experience and position the provider organization for long-term growth. Long-term care (LTC) and non-sterile compounding accreditations are sub-specialties of community pharmacy and, respectively, allow the pharmacy to work directly with LTC facilities and provide higher levels of patient medication needs.
“Exemplary Providers are community leaders and patient champions,” said Sandra C. Canally, RN, The Compliance Team’s founder and CEO. “Hi-School Pharmacy’s Exemplary Provider accreditations underscore their on-going commitment to exploring better ways to deliver world-class service and value to their patients and clients.”
Jack Holt, president of Hi-School Pharmacy Services, recognizes the benefits of community pharmacy accreditation, “Partnering with The Compliance Team to achieve community pharmacy accreditation has been one of the best decisions we have made. Following their guidance to help our stores achieve a standard of excellence in our communities has been very beneficial to our store operations and, ultimately, to the customers we serve every day. We look forward to continually striving to be the best pharmacy in our local communities.”
Hi-School Pharmacy’s original store opened in 1925, across the street from Vancouver High School on Main Street in Vancouver, Washington. As Hi-School Pharmacy/Hardware expanded and acquired multiple locations, their name became synonymous with high-quality service in communities throughout the Northwest. Hi-School Pharmacy/Hardware currently has 19 corporate locations and 171 affiliate locations.
