Kate Hill Honored Recipient of the NARHC Ron Nelson Award
October 2022, Spring House, PA – The Compliance Team (TCT), a nationally recognized accreditation organization, is pleased to announce that Kate Hill, RN, Vice President, Clinic Division recently received the Ron Nelson award from the National Association of Rural Health Clinics (NARHC).
The annual Ron Nelson award recognizes outstanding leaders and promoters of Rural Health Clinics in honor of their service. NARHC created the award in memory of co-founder Ron L. Nelson, PA-C, after his year-long battle with cancer in 2011. Kate was presented with the award by Charles James, President of NARHC, at the recent Fall Institute conference.
“We’re thrilled Kate is being honored to receive this award in recognition of her strong leadership, continuous dedication, and the countless time and efforts she spends in support of rural health providers and their patients,” said Sandra Canally, Founder and CEO of The Compliance Team. “Kate embodies Ron’s passion for the rural health community, and we’re grateful for her willingness to share her knowledge and expertise with anyone interested in this expansive community.”
Hill graduated from Einstein Medical Center School of Nursing. As an army nurse, Kate served in Viet Nam and was awarded the Bronze Star. Stateside, her work in health care continued as a nurse for orthopedic patients. Changing gears, she joined Biomet, a large medical device company, working in several capacities. In 2012, Kate connected with The Compliance Team to direct TCT’s rural health clinic accreditation program, combining her clinical expertise with her business acumen, and her enduring passion for delivering the best care possible to every patient. Kate also supports customers through TCT’s PCMH Accreditation and Swing Bed Certification programs. Her love of rural health is served by her board positions with the National Rural Health Association and the National Association of Rural Health Clinics where she has learned firsthand the diverse regional issues facing rural health clinics. In this role, she eagerly shares her knowledge about compliance and quality care in rural health, as a speaker at state and national meetings.
