Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, all initial RHC surveys have been completed remotely.  This process has worked very well and the feedback from Rural health Clinics confirms this is meeting their needs while adhering to CMS requirements. Our surveyors review your uploaded policies, checklist and attestation and then through modern technology do a thorough unannounced walkthrough of your clinic, verifying infection prevention processes, checking medications and supplies, etc.

CMS regional offices have been amazing in processing your billing numbers and we all thank them for their commitment in this challenging situation. Renewals are being prioritized according to CMS guidance and State restrictions at the time of survey. All surveys will be performed in accordance with the CMS guidelines while under the PHE. Lastly, all remote surveys will be followed by a physical onsite survey at the end of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency.
