August 2019, Spring House, Pennsylvania – The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) has again recognized The Compliance Team, a national healthcare accreditation organization, as a certified women-owned business with both the WBE and WOSB (Women Owned Small Business) designations. The Compliance Team has been a certified woman-owned business since 2009.
The WBENC is a leading advocate for women business owners and entrepreneurs. The organization offers tools to help women-owned businesses succeed and build partnerships. Certification validates that “the business is at least 51 percent owned, controlled, operated and managed by a woman or women.” The United States Small Business Administration (SBA) approved WBENC as a third-party certifier for WOSB certification. Each certification is valid for one year.
Sandra C. Canally, Founder and CEO of The Compliance Team, strongly believes in empowering women in business and continually looks for opportunities to partner with other women-owned organizations, be they potential clients or partner organizations.
Formed in 1994, The Compliance Team, Inc. is the nation’s only certified woman-owned, healthcare accreditation organization (AO) to be granted deeming authority by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to accredit Medicare Part A—Rural Health Clinic and Patient-Centered Medical Home clinicians as well as Part B—DMEPOS providers. The firm is also the only AO that offers Exemplary Provider®-accredited status. Each year, The Compliance Team accredits thousands of provider organizations that are based in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands.
